A Week Later

On January 8, 2011 at 10:10 A.M. MST in Tucson, Arizona, Representative Gabrielle Giffords was holding a "Congress On Your Corner" meet and great. A man named Jared Loughner came up to Rep. Giffords and shot her in the head. After shooting Rep. Giffords, he proceeded to shoot randomly into the crowd. The gun had run out of ammunition and Jared pulled out another magazine and dropped it. Unwounded bystander Patricia Maisch grabbed the magazine while another bystander clubbed Jared in the head. Jared was then tackled to the ground by 74-year-old retired colonel Bill Badger, who had been shot. Jared was then held down by Maisch and bystanders Roger Sulzgeber and Joseph Zamudio.

The first call from the scene to emergency services was received at 10:11 am. While waiting for help to arrive, Giffords' intern Daniel Hernández Jr., applied pressure to the gunshot wound on her forehead, and made sure she did not choke on her blood. Hernández is credited with saving Giffords' life. David and Nancy Bowman, a married doctor and nurse who were shopping in the store, immediately set up triage and attended to nine-year-old Christina-Taylor Green. Police arrived on the scene at 10:15 am, with paramedics arriving at 10:16 am. Badger observed the assailant attempting to discard a small bag containing money and identification, which was recovered by the officers.

Five people died at the scene, including Chief Judge John Roll and Giffords' community outreach director Gabe Zimmerman. Christina-Taylor Green was later pronounced dead at the hospital. At least one gunshot victim was transported to Northwest Medical Center while the remaining injured were treated at University Medical Center in Tucson.

Before I continue on, I would like to offer my condolences to the families of those injured and killed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those still fighting for their lives and to the families and friends of those injured and killed.

I find it sick that I actually have to address the statements and ideas in the hours and days after the tragedy. Unfortunately, there are many who think of their agenda before they think of the fact that people are fighting for their lives. Obviously I can't address every statement and idea that came out through the media and public figures but I can hit the key points that connects them all. First off, only one person is to blame for this act, Jared Loughner. After discovering who the shooter was, it was discovered that he had a history of acting out and having issues.

While watching the news within the hour after the shooting, I decided to see what the liberal media was making of the situation. I turned to MSNBC and their discussion wasn't about those shot and their families, their discussion was about gun laws in Arizona. Their first thought wasn't of the families and victims, it was of their agenda. For 10 minutes I watched in some hope that they would show that shred of humanity they claim they have, they didn't show an ounce of worry or thought for the victims in that 10 minute period.

Pima County Sheriff, Clarence W. Dupnik, came out hours after the shooting with no evidence collected or really any leads and stated that it was the violent rhetoric that had led to the shooting.

This was the claim of many in the media. Without any evidence or any information, this was the claim of those who claim to report the facts. The media and politicians claimed that Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sarah Palin were to blame for the shooting. They came on and the very first thing they did was start pointing fingers at people. Very different from the Fort Hood shooting when they continuously said to not jump to conclusions. Yet this time that was all they did.

Within hours of the shooting, in D.C., Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (NY-D) and Rep. Peter King (NY-R) were already coming up with gun restriction legislation and having their staff write it up. Within hours these two, from both sides, were already thinking of their agendas and not their colleague who was in the hospital fighting for her life. They didn't know any facts or have any leads, but they jumped to the conclusion to create gun laws to restrict the second amendment.

At NPR, Daisy Hernandez, made a very racist statement and just followed the trend of caring more about her agenda than worrying about those who were fighting for their lives.

"I wasn't the only person on Saturday who rushed to her Android when news came of the Tucson shooting.

What I wanted to know was the killer's surname.

My eyes scanned the mobile papers. I held my breath. Finally, I saw it: Jared Loughner. Not a Ramirez, Gonzalez or Garcia. It's safe to say there was a collective sigh of brown relief when the Tucson killer turned out to be a gringo.

I admit sadly that it was only after I saw the shooter's gringo surname that I was able to go on and read the rest of the news about those who lost their lives on Saturday and those who, like Rep. Giffords, were severely wounded."

The definition of "gringo" - a foreigner, esp. one of U.S. or British descent. First, she doesn't consider herself American apparently. Second, if a white person had said this about Latinos, the media would be all over them. In fact, Juan Williams made a statement less severe than this and NPR fired him. The liberal double standard strikes again.

On Wednesday night at the University of Arizona, a memorial was held for those injured and killed in the shooting. President Obama and Michelle were there, as were AG Holder, and DHS Secretary Napolitano. But amazingly, they weren't the disappointment of the memorial, the crowd was. The crowd acted as if it was a pep rally or the first campaign stop for Obama 2012. When Janet Napolitano said that Christina Greene had been shot and killed, the crowd cheered. Who cheers when someone says that a 9-year-old girl was shot and killed? Throughout it all, Obama was squirming in his sit from embarrassment and a little annoyance. Why was he embarrassed and annoyed? Well, these people acting like savages and showing not an ounce of care were his people. These were the die-hard Obama fans who yelled his name throughout the whole memorial. Here he had written a somber speech for the memorial and his people were acting like it was a championship game.

As for Obama's speech, I considered quite good. The only issues I had through it was his slight path through the politics of the situation but aside from that it was okay, and I'm a very big critic of Obama's. I, like many others, looked for those key words and phrases that he's had before. We looked for those things to nail him on, but we found very little. The biggest thing we found sickening was the crowd, and the fact that t-shirts used in Obama's 2008 campaign were handed out to the crowd. With that news of the t-shirts, it brought into question if this was in fact a campaign stop for Obama. But going on the speech alone, he did quite well and as with anyone, no matter what their ideology, we'll give him kudos for that. But he has to keep it up and listen to the people.

The weeks and months ahead as the new Congress get into action, we will see what has changed from last session. We'll see what language comes up from the Tucson shooting. Through it all, we have to remember that no one but Jared Loughner is at fault for this shooting. It's not the gun laws, it's not the legislatures, and it's not the media. This was the act of 1 man who had some issues through his life and never got help for those issues. We have to get back to the point that when something happens, the first thought isn't about an agenda or the political cost, but about the victims. The Tea Party and 912project movement isn't just about politics, but it's about changing yourself and becoming an overall better person. Because when we start with ourselves, we can change the world.

The Untold Christmas Story

With Christmas upon us, I thought it time for a classic Christmas story. Yes, you guessed it...The Crossing of the Delaware. Oh? Not your first guess? Well, then listen to the history.

December 1776 was a desperate time for George Washington and the American Revolution. The ragtag Continental Army was encamped along the Pennsylvania shore of the Delaware River exhausted, demoralized and uncertain of its future.

The troubles had begun the previous August when British and Hessian troops invaded Long Island routing the colonial forces, forcing a desperate escape to the island of Manhattan. The British followed up their victory with an attack on Manhattan that compelled the Americans to again retreat, this time across the Hudson River to New Jersey.

The British followed in hot pursuit, chasing the Americans through New Jersey and by December had forced the Continental Army to abandon the state and cross the Delaware into Pennsylvania. With New Jersey in their firm control and Rhode Island successfully occupied, the British were confident that the Revolution had been crushed. The Continental Army appeared to be merely an annoyance soon to be swatted into oblivion like a bothersome bee at a picnic.

To compound Washington's problems, the enlistments of the majority of the militias under his command were due to expire at the end of the month and the troops return to their homes. Washington had to do something and quickly.

His decision was to attack the British. The target was the Hessian-held town of Trenton just across the Delaware River.

During the night of December 25, Washington led his troops across the ice-swollen Delaware about 9 miles north of Trenton. The weather was horrendous and the river treacherous. Raging winds combined with snow, sleet and rain to produce almost impossible conditions. To add to the difficulties, a significant number of Washington's force marched through the snow without shoes.

The next morning they attacked to the south, taking the Hessian garrison by surprise and over-running the town. After fierce fighting, and the loss of their commander, the Hessians surrendered.

Washington's victory was complete but his situation precarious. The violent weather continued - making a strike towards Princeton problematic. Washington and his commanding officers decided to retrace their steps across the Delaware taking their Hessian prisoners with them.

The news of the American victory spread rapidly through the colonies reinvigorating the failing spirit of the Revolution. The battle's outcome also gave Washington and his officers the confidence to mount another campaign. On December 30 they again crossed the Delaware, attacked and won another victory at Trenton on January 2, and then pushed on to Princeton defeating the British there on January 3.

Although not apparent at the time, these battles were a decisive turning point in the Revolution. The victories pulled the languishing Revolution out of the depths of despair, galvanized colonial support, shocked the British and convinced potential allies such as France, Holland and Spain, that the Continental Army was a force to be reckoned with.

Now it's obviously not a typical Christmas story of magic or Santa or even Rudolph, but it is a Christmas story with a miracle. Aside from the birth of Christ, the Crossing of the Delaware is perhaps the most important historical Christmas story of all time. Up to the point of crossing the Delaware, General Washington had lost every battle. His men were very tired and very ill supplied. It was said you could follow them because of the blood coming from their feet as they had no shoes.

Washington knew that if he didn't act now, all hope was lost. So, in a move that very well could have ended the entire war, Washington lead his 2,400 men and crossed the Delaware. This move and battle proved to be the turning point of the entire war. It inspired the colonist to continue the fight for freedom and liberty. And what better day than Christmas Day. What better present then that of a free nation.

It could be said that this free nation was the greatest gift ever to be given on Christmas Day. A true act of God and a clear sign that we were founded on the firm belief of a Creator and of the Judeo-Christian beliefs. With Washington's firm belief in God, he knew that freedom could be obtained, and thus he acted.

So when we have these so-called "Wars On Christmas" and people sit by and let it happen without saying a word, then we are doomed to end up in a Socialistic nation. We must stand up for these small battles for they make the greatest difference. If we don't stand up now when the battle seems so small, then when will we stand up. When we live in a Socialistic nation? When they kill people over the issues?

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

We must stand up now or else we will find ourselves alone and facing a tyrannical power. As Ronald Reagan said, "If not us, then who? And if not now, then when?" Now is the time to fight these battles not just within our community but communities all across America. If we don't do it now, then there will be nothing left, and no one left to stand up.

The Simple Understanding of Tax Cuts

With many issues going on not just around the country but around the country, the top one that many in DC are facing right now is extending the Bush-era tax cuts. The Republicans are claiming to be standing against bills until a full tax cut extension bills comes up. Well, the Democrats don't like it and are continuing business as usual, or as usual as DC gets. In fact, the Democrats just passed a bill with middle class tax cuts in it and seems 3 Republicans defected and decided to vote for it. H.R.4853 - Middle Class Tax Relief Act of 2010, passed the House with a 234-188 vote, with Rep. John Duncan (R-TN), Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC), and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) voting for it. At the same time, 20 Democrats voted against the bill, many of which are in support of extending tax cuts for everyone.

Now, when it comes to taxes, even the smartest of us have problems. Who wouldn't with a tax code of 16,845 pages, or so the estimated length is. I'm by far no tax wizard but even I know that raising taxes kills an economy. Before we talk about the current tax cuts, let's look at history. In 1835, President Andrew Jackson managed to reduce the debt to only $33,733.05, the lowest it has ever been since the fiscal year of 1791, the year the Bill of Rights was ratified. And President Jackson is the only President in United States history to have paid off the National Debt. How did he do it? Well, he lowered taxes and this increased the tax base. President Jackson and his Secretary of the Treasury, at the time, Levi Woodbury, both favored an "independent" treasury system and "hard money" over paper money. The both understood that raising taxes only makes people more reclusive to pay them and this the government loses revenue. Instead, by lowering taxes, people have more money and are more inclined to pay their taxes and thus the economy thrives and the government can pay off the debt and deficit.

Now back to the present. Yesterday in the House, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), made a mockery of himself by making a last stand against a tax cut for the "high-class". This is the same guy who had a chart stating, "THE REPUBLICANS HEALTH CARE PLAN: 1. DON'T GET SICK". Well, how did he make a mockery this time? Well, he attacked Conservative radio and television hosts, many of which are on Fox News.

Before we continue, we'd just like to thank Rep. Grayson for his stupidity, if you didn't know, he got defeated in the November 2nd elections. Now, what Rep. Grayson isn't getting here is that these radio and television hosts work for their money. Also the fact that with the tax cuts, they aren't making any more money, but simply getting to keep more of what they make. It's called the free market system, getting to keep the fruits of your labor. It's an idea that the Pilgrims learned 390 years ago. When the Pilgrims landed here, they had nothing and the winter was very harsh. In the spring the Indians taught them how to grow corn, fish for cod-fish, and how to skin beavers for coats, but they didn't prosper yet. They had contracts with merchants in England and one agreement was for all the property and products of the Pilgrims work would go into a "community chest". With this idea, people didn't get much and thus lost interest in farming and keep everything nice as they received nothing for their hard labor. William Bradford saw this and as the Governor, he assigned a plot of land to everyone to keep and tend. With these plots, everyone would get to keep the fruits of their labor. At this point the Pilgrims prospered and the Great Puritan Migration began as Europeans heard about the great success in the New World.

The Pilgrims had tried socialism even before it had a name, even before Karl Marx thought of it. But they learned that collectivism doesn't work and that everyone must be able to keep the fruits of their labor. We face the very same issue today. We face a government who believes that the only way to succeed is to tax and they believe this brings in more money. Time and time again throughout history this has been shown to be wrong and that the more people get to keep of their own labor, the more the nation and economy flourish. We have people in DC who wish to make the government a business rather than do it's only purpose, to protect our freedom and liberty. They would rather make millions of dollars than actually help the people the represent. They would rather be corrupt and blind then obey the oath they took to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Policing The State For False Security

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin

There are those who are fine with giving up their liberty of personal space and privacy for a little temporary safety but what they seem to forget is that these Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) screening procedures do not protect them and that their rights will not be given back once taken. We've heard of the multiple of accounts of different cancer survivors being groped and humiliated. Accounts of children being strip searched and felt up by TSA agents. In any other instance, this would all be considered sexual assault, but the Government believes it can do as it wishes and all in the name of your safety.

We've come to a point where the main enemy isn't terrorist but ourselves. Our government is doing more damage than terrorist have ever done. After September 11th, America came together and although we were in mourning, we didn't feel violated or traumatized as much as we do now. And when asked if there is a better solution, our President and Director of the TSA say that there isn't, when there are proven methods that say otherwise.

In fact, the TSA screening process wasn't the original plan. According to TSA officials, security officers at major airports across the country would be trained to use “casual conversation” to flush out possible terrorists. Instructors would first teach officers what suspicious behaviors to look for in travelers. These can include nervousness, wearing a big coat in the summer or reluctance to make eye contact with law enforcement. Then, the officers carry on a supposedly casual conversation with passengers in hopes of spotting possible terrorists or to determine whether further scrutiny of a passenger is required. This would have been a welcomed program by those in law enforcement who’ve said for years that psychological profiling should be used by airport security staff.

Most police officers and investigators are familiar with the concept since it’s used during the interrogation and interview process to detect deception on the part of the subject. Without going into too much detail, interrogators or interviewers, while questioning a subject about the matter at hand, are observing body language, eye contact, breathing, physical characteristics such as dry mouth or profuse perspiration, and other criteria.

However, the Washington-based Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) officials claimed that the new guidelines, under which anyone traveling from or through 13 Muslim-majority nations will be required to go through enhanced screening techniques before boarding flights, will disproportionately target American Muslims who have family or spiritual ties to the Islamic world and therefore amount to religious and ethnic profiling.

“Under these new guidelines, almost every American Muslim who travels to see family or friends or goes on pilgrimage to Mecca will automatically be singled out for special security checks — that’s profiling,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad.

Yes, profiling is the answer that many of us are saying we want. Look at the Israeli airline El Al. They do psychological profiling and it has never had an attack since it's establishment in 1948. Seriously, a nation that has been threatened that it would be wiped off the face of the earth never having a terrorist attack on its planes.

“While singling out travelers based on religion and national origin may make some people feel safer, it only serves to alienate and stigmatize Muslims and does nothing to improve airline security,” he said.

No where in any of the description of psychological profiling was there any mention of race or national origin. It talked about looking for nervousness and body language. Seems CAIR needs to get its facts straight if it's going to attempt to discredit a method.

But alas, Obama and the TSA basically listened to CAIR and went with a different method, one more intrusive than profiling ever could be. And when people cry for proven methods such as dogs or profiling, TSA and Obama simply say that they wouldn't work and that you'll have to suffer through the screening that they don't have to go through.

So, the question becomes how do we get out of this predicament. Well, 32 members of Congress have sent letters to the President and TSA Director John Pistole about the intrusive methods. But the real answer lies within the airports themselves. Having TSA at airports is not a mandatory thing, airports can opt-out of TSA and hire a private firm for their security. So, we must put pressure on airports to do so. We also must urge airlines to do the same as they will lose business by the amount of people who will refuse to fly because of these screening methods. As all things important and as the founders believed above all else, the answers always lie within the people, "We the People" hold the power.

Standing Up To Rights Violations

More and more we see as our rights are being trampled on. We've seen cases where kids wearing T-Shirts depicting the American Flag on Cinco de Mayo were sent home from school for fear of violence happening. Well, that same school district was once again in the news this week. This time, telling a 13-year-old boy that he couldn't have the American flag on his bike.

13-year-old Cody Alicea flies a small American flag on his bike in honor of veterans like his grandfather. He's been doing so for 2 months but now the school district is telling him he can't due to "racial tensions." Cody made a comment that many adults don't say, “In this country we’re supposed to be free. And I should be able to wave my flag wherever I want to. And they‘re telling me I can’t.” Denair Middle School near Sacramento, CA with the Denair Unified School District Superintendent Edward Parraz said that while Cody does have a First Amendment right, “with that comes a responsibility.”

“Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they’ll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don’t really want,” Parraz said. “We want them to appreciate the cultures.” Apparently being able to fly the American flag that men and women have died for isn't being considerate. But, after this story showed up in the news, the Denair Unified School District was flooded with calls from parents in and out of the school district complaining. After receiving so many calls, the district changed its mind and is letting Cody fly his flag and is now seeking punishment on the ones who made the complaint in the first place.

But California isn't the only state with flag controversy, Idaho has some too. Steve and Robin Perfect just had their son, Sgt. Edward Nadler, go to Iraq. To honor him, the bought an American flag to display on the front of their condominium. Copper Ranch Condominiums and many residence told the Perfects' that they couldn't fly their flag and that they had to take it down. “We’ve been harassed and hassled for the past two months, and we’re all stressed,” Robin said. “It’s bad enough that my only son is going to Iraq — now I have to worry about this.”

The Home Owner's Association (HOA) has told the Perfects' that the flag is in violation of policy. “It’s about items in the common area,” Property manager Brian Emerick said. “And, tenants are not allowed to place items in the common area … [including] any number of things, bird houses, wind chimes, anything.” A day after putting the flag up, Steve received a call from Lido Equities, the national California-based company that leases the condo they rent. The representative, he said, told him she received complaints about his American flag and said that flying it made it appear that he was “supporting the war.” She said he should think about being more considerate to his neighbors and ask them if they objected to the flag.

As stupid and unfree as that sounds, Steve obliged and asked some neighbors for their opinion.

He started with a neighbor from across the street who had been a dinner guest of the Perfects before and who had even looked after their condo during a spring trip to Mexico.

According to Steve, he asked the neighbor if she had any problems with him hanging the American flag. The response, he went on to explain, could be considered a resounding “yes.” “Yes I f****** God d*** do!” Steve said she shouted. She continued: “You know what, you take your f****** flag and move out and hang it in your little house, ’cause [the flag] is on common ground and you can’t hang it there.” Sounds like a wonderful person.

After numerous request from the HOA to remove the flag, the Perfects stood strong and refused to do so. Robin responded to the request by quoting an e-mail she received from Idaho U.S. Senator Mike Crapo, which outlined the Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005. That law says “a condominium association … may not adopt or enforce any policy … that would restrict or prevent a member of the association from displaying the flag of the United States on residential property within the association with respect to which such member has a separate ownership interest or a right to exclusive possession or use.”

The response from the HOA, they ignored the letter and the law. In response to this long battle, the Perfects' have move the flag from the front of their porch to a spot next to their door since one of the complaints was that the flag was hanging over the sidewalk. The HOA says that it's still in violation and that either the flag be removed or the Perfects' will be forced out. We need to flood this place with calls in support of the Perfects' just like the school district. To contact Property manager Brian Emerick, call (208)788-2654.

Now to the east coast in New York. An upstate New York elementary school is only doing a partial pledge in the mornings. Despite many pleas for the full pledge, the North Collins Central School District is allowing only 6 words of the pledge to be said. "I pledge allegiance to the flag" will be heard over the intercom at North Collins Elementary School, but then the sound system will shut off and the students will finish the pledge in class at their own pace, Ben Halsey, superintendent of North Collins Central School District said.

"It has been the philosophy of the building that the pledge does indeed get recited every day, but it gets recited by teachers and students individually, so the pace is appropriate for their level," Halsey said. "The public address system simply serves as a prompt to start the pledge." He said the practice enables students to recite the pledge at their own pace, which is typically slower for younger students. Dozens of people, including a board member who resigned over the controversy, attended a school board meeting Tuesday night to plead to have the pledge recited in its entirety over the school's intercom. The former board member, Rosemarie Troidl, resigned on Oct. 26 after fielding what she said was a growing number of complaints from parents and residents about the pledge.

Now for the most revealing part of the story. Upon hearing about this controversy, I went to the North Collins Central School District website to get their phone number and complain like I had with the Denair Unified School District. Upon getting to their website, I found their mission statement which is very interesting. It reads:

"The North Collins Central School District is a safe and supportive learning environment that strives to maximize educational opportunities for all students, faculty, staff and community members. We nurture responsibility, creativity, energy, and open-mindedness to empower successful contributors to a global society."

The school district doesn't seem very open-minded and seems they are going for a New World Order with the indoctrination of students for a global society. I called the Superintendent about the mission statement of the district, I got a voice mail and left a message. I have to receive a call back.

These are things we are facing in our society. It may not directly happen to you but it's like legislation. If a Congressman or Senator from another state votes to lock you in your home, his or her vote effects you just as much as their constituents. If the above acts were ruled to be okay, they could just as easily be done against you and based on that previous ruling, then found to be fine when done to you. We must stand up and be involved in legislation and DC issues, but we must also stand up and be involved and ethical issues around the country as well. We can not let people's rights be trampled on. So, I encourage you, for the above stories and any other stories you see where people's rights are being violated, find a number those responsible and call them and let them know that they are wrong and that we are standing against them on it. Who knows, you could get them to change their mind just like the case of Cody and his American flag in the Denair Unified School District.

Why Not Having The Senate Is Good

Last night's elections was a historic moment in our country. It was the American people standing up and saying they are tired of the socialist agenda. That they want real change and not politics as usual. Republicans gained control of the House and the Democrats will keep control of the Senate, with a few elections in both still being determined. Now obviously the Democrats hold the Presidency and so the question that comes is what will happen now.

My prediction is this, with control of the House, Republicans will be able to defund Obamacare and stop the bailouts and stimulus packages. They will most likely pass a bill to repeal Obamacare but I doubt it will get through the Senate. If it does get through the Senate then Obama will veto it. The House will be able to get bills going to fund and secure our border. They'll be able to cut the funding to government agencies that should not exist. Now the question is if those bills could get through the Senate and then passed the President's desk.

Now the reason I say it's good that Republicans do not have control of the Senate is this. With control of the Senate, Republicans could get all these bills through Congress but then one of two things would happen. Either Obama would repeal them and then the message in 2012 would be that Republicans didn't fix anything, or Obama would pass these bills and take the credit for them working as Clinton did when he was President.

With Republicans only having control of the House they can get to work on defunding these bills, laws, and agencies. They can get legislation together and passed that is right and within their authority as defined in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Now when these bills go to the Senate and fail, Republicans can have some power in 2012. Their message would be something like this:

"Look at the work we have done in the House. We have done exactly as the American said and have worked to repeal Obamcare. We've worked to secure our border and to stop the bailouts and stimulus packages and to get our economy back to a free market system. But you have not seen these things happen because the Democrat controlled Senate and the Democrat controlled White House have not let these things happen as you, American people, wanted. So we need your help this election. In 2010 you helped by taking your country back, now we need your help to take it back all the way. To get these things passed we need your help to get the Senate and the Presidency."

Now, that message sounds like the message we've heard for years from both parties. That things will be all better if we give them total control. The key difference is going to be this, if the Republicans in the House do exactly as they have promised and as we tell them. The other key is electing Senators and a President that isn't about party loyalty but is about the people. By doing that, we ensure that Republicans won't have control of the government to do business as usual.

The American people turned out yesterday and gave their voice very clearly. We are not supporting the Republican party, we are opposing Progressives and Socialist. And just as quickly as we took the Progressives out, we can take the Republicans out. As many Republicans have admitted, this is the last chance the Republican party has, so they better get it right or the Republican party will be extinct.

Our next step is to not go back to sleep but to hold their feet to the fire. We have to call them, no matter what the issue or bill coming up. Wither they support or oppose it, we have to call them and let them know what we want them to do. So make sure you have your Senators and your Representative on your contact list on your phone. You have to let them know what your want. We can not go back to sleep, we must stay engaged and make sure that our country doesn't go back to the way the Progressives have made it.

What It All Comes Down To

"The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable, to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtedly will, be recalled" - George Washington 1787

George Washington understood, as many of the Founding Fathers did, that We The People hold the power. That our Representatives, both House and Senate, were our servants, that they served us. Something I've begun to do is no longer call the positions in DC "jobs". If we continue to call them jobs, then we continue to grow career politicians. Instead, we must get back to the founding ideals of public servitude. Our Congress members are our servants, and as George Washington pointed out, when they do not follow the Constitution, the people will vote them out. Well, welcome to November 2, 2010.

For the past 3 years, we have woken up to the fact that our country isn't what we thought it was. We've woken up to legislation called TARP and the government taking over businesses and bailing out others that have been deemed too big to fail. We awoke to the fact that the Democratic party wasn't what it used to be, that it had been consumed by a force called the Progressives. It took us about a year and a half to realize the hidden agenda of this force, but we found it and fought it.

Now, the time to start the restoration is upon us. If we don't make the stand here and now, who knows when we'll have the chance again, if ever. Although the Constitutions Conservatives could take over the House and possibly the Senate, they will still have to deal with a Progressive President for 2 more years. This means that a lot of votes will take place to overturn vetoes. And they will most likely make it through the House, but the Senate will be the challenge if it is not taken back.

I do not advocate for Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. I advocate for Constitutionalists. For those who believe in the founding ideals and the same principles that guided our founders. Fiscal responsibility, limited government, and the individual. Many believe that with November 2nd, we'll be closer to the end of this fight, but on November 2nd, it's only beginning.

We must hold our elected officials feet to the fire more than ever, even those who have run on the Tea Party message. In fact, those deemed "Tea Party Candidates" will have their feet held to the fire a little more than others because they have run on those ideals and have made that commitment to bring that back to DC.

The ballot is your weapon. We are a peaceful revolution and we fight with our voices and our votes. Many people have made the claims that they don't need to vote because so many others will turn out. Well let's imagine if everyone had that same thought, no one would vote. Every vote counts, because all of those people who believe their vote counts, they all add up. Others make the claims of voting for the lesser of two evils. Although this can be true, then take that lesser of two evils and let them know that they're being watched. That they will be seeing a lot of you, and that you will support them when they are right, and vigorously oppose them when they are wrong.

"If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth." - Ronald Reagan 1964

Do not let the last stand on earth die. Don't let the shining city on a hill fall away from existence. Between now and November 2nd, educate people, as many people a day as you can. Don't tell them how to vote, but inform them about the issues and the candidates. Give them places they can go to research. And then tell them to tell someone else. We can not have that uninformed electorate that John Kerry spoke of. We have educated ourselves over the past 3 years. Now let's put it to good use and get America back and restore it.
